Rosalia
Rosalia Vila (aka Rosalia) is a Spanish pop singer and flamenco performer. From her teens, she has been at the edges of popular and traditional music. Additionally, she plays with genres like hip-hop trap, and soul. Guitarist from Flamenco Pepe habichuela characterized her voice as sweet and sharp, yet with the bite of older singers. After her 2017 debut album Los Angeles garnered attention from the U.S. public and earned the singer an Latin Grammy nomination for Best New Artist and her follow-up album in 2018. El Mal Querer was a significant commercial and critical success that topped Billboard's Latin Pop Albums chart and ultimately getting a Grammy. In 2021, the single La Fama with The Weeknd came out. Motomami will be her third album. She worked with numerous musicians and producers, such as Cory Henry. The album was released in March 2022 following performances of the song Chicken Teriyaki on Saturday Night Live. Rosalia was the very first Spanish artist to appear in a solo performance on the show. Motomami was the only woman ever to be the recipient of the Latin Album of the Year two times, as well as the three Latin Grammy Awards.
