Audrey Justine Tautou is a French model and actress from France who became famous by playing the shy and eccentric waitress from the romantic comedy Amelie which won her several awards and accolades. Tautou's charm, charisma and acting abilities has led her to be often compared to Audrey Hepburn. She is an ideal blend of appearance and talent. Though she was born into an intelligent family Her dark-haired mother and father were both dentists and teachers. It was the last task she ever planned to pursue. While in school she somehow was bitten by the acting bug which led her to decide to go pro as an actress. She attended acting classes at Cours Florent and landed an appearance on the television movie Coeur de cible. The actress made her movie debut in the feature film Venus Beauty Institute for which she was praised. The daring actress likes to experiment with a variety of roles. She's appeared in different genres of films ranging from the romantic comedy Amelie and the suspenseful Dirty Pretty Things. Born in France she was a part of a number of French films before she made her Hollywood debut with Tom Hanks in the film The Da Vinci Code. Her sense of style sets her apart as a model.
